This is good. But it's a pity science was so badly taught at schools.
I started secondary education at a grammar school in Rugby, Warwickshire. The first term, we tried burning a number of substances in a bunsen burner flame and seeing what colour they went. That was fun but I don't remember what the substances were.
Then we moved to Chislehurst in south London and I went to a much more traditional school. There, chemistry consisted of the periodic table.
