Deathlist 2014 - not on the list

It's astonishing how these come out of nowhere. He wasn't as young as Heath Ledger or Paul Walker, but 46 is no age for such a brilliant actor to die.

Your link isn't working for me, GB, but it's now up on the BBC website

I tuned in to see the snow in Serbia and was truly shocked when I saw his picture and the news that he'd died.

Shirley Temple's Good Ship Lollipop was the first song
I ever learned to sing along with. And Sid Caesar was the
first comedian who ever made me laugh, week after week.
Not having heard much of either for several years - they
both enjoyed long lives in retirement - I can't say they
will be consciously missed in my current life, but they
are both fondly remembered as foundational influences.

My sentiments exactly, jwf
I didn't even see Shirley in her heyday but Sid!! OMG!!
He was the only adult i found funny and that is saying alot!
Most of the adults of that era were so - stogy
Dull and boooooring and musty and so constipated and conservative
and so not with it
I was 5 and he was funny!!

The English are too busy to die just now, there's so much weather to talk about!

It seems to be the way at the moment, that people dropped from previous deathlists are popping their clogs.

Oh I don't, I mean, I wasn't thinking about the competition, the lists, just that it seems those who would be mentioned
on the BBC are evidently not dying this week? That is the qualifier, right? You have to be mentioned on the BBC pages to qualify
as an Official Deathlist death?
I think I like the explanation that the English are to preoccupied with the weather this week to die LOL

Rule 8 states: "8.The definition of 'celebrity' is someone well-known enough to have their death reported on the websites of BBC News or any of the British Broadsheets."

Tony Benn's seriously ill this week, sadly.
I guess we could be waiting ages for a British celebrity death, when someone creeps up and gives us a Wedgie.
