They could be stunt doubles for ferrets - they've got a limbo-dancer flexibility going on there.

I remember a lab assistant once, holding a rat up by one hind foot - it was upright.

an interesting side effect of the distilling process is that mice become 2 shaped, haven't the foggiest as to why this occurs though!
