Spiller and Hiccup are tolerant of this and will wait until I have checked
they do tease sometimes, dramatically swinging on the door handle, or shouldering the door, calling 'Look Peanut, door is locked'
I don't mind them teasing, it is good natured

For me, it's making sure the doors are locked and the stove is off before I go to bed.
