I was going to remove myself from this article so it won't count as a solo credit, but then there's be no Researcher listed at all, so I think it would be better to add the contributors, so it's stored as a collaborate entry.

You were the one who rescued it, polished it, and got it through PR, GB. There is nothing wrong with taking the credit (as you credit the Researcher by name in the body of text).
Well, that's my , anyway.
Unless you genuinely don't want it to add to your solo total, I suppose. I hadn't considered that.

Annie, you can add the original author as an author, and his name will appear on the entry, although if anybody clicks on the link, they get taken to a blank user space.
As a Guide Editor, it might be possible for you to fake up a personal space for the original author - can't remember whether this is possible or not.

I tried adding Mew Gull's Researcher number, but then it wouldn't update with the number intact.
I'm not sure I want to fake a Personal Space, that'd be like using my powers for personal gain () but it seems a shame Mew Gull won't get the "My work's in the Edited Guide" badge.
I'll have a discussion with the other Eds, see what they think

I wouldn't think of it as personal gain, it's more trying to correct a BBC mistake.
I'd be inclined to credit MewGull - if you fake a personal space, would the links to the unedited version then re-appear on their page rather than being left blank?

Your Guide Entry has just been picked from Peer Review by one of our Scouts, and is now heading off into the Editorial Process, which ends with publication in the Edited Guide. We've moved this Review Conversation out of Peer Review and to the entry itself.
If you'd like to know what happens now, check out the page on 'What Happens after your Entry has been Recommended?' at EditedGuide-Process. We hope this explains everything.
Thanks for contributing to the Edited Guide!

Thanks, all credit goes to the author Mew Gull. Perhaps he'll return when this hits the Front Page, and bask in the glory
