I know, I know, but they benefit the animal shelters, and it's a relief from all the bad news. 
Besides, this year's excitement is...hedgehog cheerleaders. Yes, people smuggled their African hedgehogs aboard animal-hating Amtrak, just to share the cuteness, bless them.
