Steve Biko. He also spoke of the primarily psychological effects of Apartheid. (He was killed in 1977.) Of course the situation here in South Africa was always very different from what it was in America. But it was still a mess. And it was interesting to me when he said that about America having a black president in forty years ... Obama managed it a bit more than forty years after that debate! Anyways I was amazed that I was able to watch the entirety of the debate, the full sixty minutes or so of it, without a single interruption for buffering! What in heavens name went right?
