A Conversation for Creativity

Dandelions

I have always liked dandelions. They throw their seed to the wind and next thing you know there is a batch of flowers in some unlikely spot.
Mankind comes up with herbicide to to get rid of them. The herbicide only kills a small percentage. the dandelions are winning.
sometimes I think h2g2 is like a dandelion. They took it off cyberspace in 2001 but they could not kill the idea. The BBC got rid of us and yet like seeds in the wind h2g2 is still here. some may try to morph it out of shape into H2G2 in barlesque, and yet it survives.
Someone started a generational forum stating "Our grandchildren will see the one-millionth post in this forum" I kind of believe that h2g2 will be creative enough to last that long.

*I got the idea that Adams sort of bungled his way into founding the Guide. *
*This seems like throwing ideas to the wind, to see what takes hold. *

I know that sounded a bit negative, but in truth I agree; Creativity is like your beloved Dandelions. It does work well to do as Adams did and throw ideas to the wind to see what sprouts. As artists, it is good to embrace that dynamic; be productive and see what takes root.

Funny personal antidote, my Mother hated Dandelions because some poor people survived the Depression by picking Dandelions out of other people’s yards. She swore she would never eat Dandelion Greens on that account. Funny how people are.

Thank you for your comments.
