To be honest, I didn't know anything about Westlife .
This entry gives an excellent account of their singing career, but I don't get much impression of them as people - apart from Mark Feehily's homosexuality. Were they really as squeaky clean as this account suggests?
And what were the influences on them? They weren't just created by Simon Cowell, were they?

Another good article.
I would want to know more about how Westside got together before becoming Westlife? Were they a manufactured band by Louis Walsh or did they do it themselves? Also, did they write any of their hits, and if not, who did?
Where you write 'Their second CD' – do you mean second album? Weren't their singles released on CDs?
Where you write 'women of a certain age' - anyone we know?

post 2---> Thanks Lanza
post 3---> Thanks for your review and commenting, MVP.
<> I have written some more about their behaviour and personalities
<> added
<> I'd say created by Simon Cowell and Louis Walsh.
post 4---> Thanks for your review and commenting, <BB<
<> they were schoolfriends, I've added a bit more of the background now
<> I have already commented in the article which hits were written by themselves.
<> yes, but believe me, I still want to write "LP" and "EP" and "45s"
<> Erm, I don't know, I never bought any, just the albums, much better value!
<>
I bought every Westlife album because it was the only music my Aspergers son and I both liked. Westlife was something we could bond over. Their music had an amazing calming influence on an otherwise troublesome relationship. It was nice to have something in common
I have added those links
Thanks everyone

As DGE, it's within your power to just change it
I resisted the urge when I had the wherewithal to do these things. Not sure why. I feel a lot more sanguine about it now.
