A Conversation for Writing Right with Dmitri: Darwinian Writing

I wondered if you were saying that there's Serious Scientific Writing, which has to be boring, and poetic writing, which can be fun and sexy.
I was going to say that there's some genuine poetry of science. There's even a Centre for Poetry and Science at the University of Liverpool see http://www.poetryandscience.co.uk/poems/rock_ammonite.htm
Then it occurred to me that perhaps I was taking you too seriously.

Definitely, MVP. I was making mock.
Thanks for the poem - how lovely.
My kind of 'science' poetry is my childhood favourite, 'The Space Child's Mother Goose'. Here's a sample:

One of my favourites was the one that started 'positive-negative, my black hen'.
