I feel like that. The colours are so cool, too.

I took quite a while deciding on the colours, which seems odd in such a relatively simple picture

See? That's the artistic temperament kicking in. You subliminally know when you're satisfied.

well... actually i would have gone back and changed the fog effect as it's a bit too "looking through a window that isn't quite clean" rather than fog...

You know, I've been looking at this picture again, and I realised something.

Even though the colours aren't 'realistic', the drawing evokes a mood for me.

When I was growing up, we'd spend time up at my grandparents' farm in Tennessee, in the foothills of the Smoky Mountains. You know why those mountains are called the Smokies, right? Because they are full of mist.

That gradation in colour? That's what that mist feels like in the morning.
