More than I wanted to...are you a Charlotte Yonge fan? What's your favourite book?
She annoyed me by writing on and on about something trivial, and then telling us in the middle of a paragraph that somebody died...made my head swim.

As they've just erected a statue of her and her nose outside Eastleigh train station (on the Mainland), I've been reading a bit about her. She seems a bit of an odd character...

I was reading a book for our book club and came across this delightful sentence:
'They were an 1884 edition of Charlotte M. Yonge's novels, and had the appearance of having been slept on for many years.'
