I have been aware of 'To Kill a Mocking-Bird' probably from the time it first came out, or maybe it was the film. Somehow I had the idea that it was just another segregation court story. It might have been a movie trailer or gossip that gave me that impression.
I was impressed enough with your article to follow the link. After reading the first few paragraphs I had to find out what would happen to Scout, Jem and Dill. The biggest thing that impressed me was her use of foreshadowing and actually starting with the epilogue.
