page turner
Good to see all these helpful reviews from people with actual knowledge and understanding. Tis wonderful
As for the title - I made a suggestion in post #9.
Nicki has written this as a UK centric piece, but the information it contains should be universally valid. It needs both to be found by readers who are studying Chem A-level, and for students or interested people from anywhere around the world.
So a foot note exlaining A-levels would be appropriate I think. - giving equivalent qualifications in other parts of the world?

Might I suggest that you say, somewhere, 'high school chemistry'?
Other US phrases:
SAT (=Scholastic Aptitude Test).
College prep chemistry
If I understand correctly, A-levels are exams taken by students who wish to go to university. In the US, what you take is the SAT, and the courses you take if you're aiming at university are called 'college prep', because we call even a university a 'college'.
You don't need to use any of this, but I thought it might help with footnoting or tagging, eventually. We could get some others to chime in with equivalents from other countries.
(Person who gave chem teacher grey hair and will therefore refrain from oommenting on the mating habits of atoms, which I'm sure you got right.)

In the UK we have SATs too, but they stand for Standard Assessment Tests, Dmitri. Yet another example of the division between our two 'English' languages.
I guess that nicki is overly busy at work right now, so hoping that there may be a window after Christmas when she can come back to her PR submissions.

As someone who took A-level Chemistry, I read this article with great interest. It was very well written and covered most of the related topics on the syllabus. However, I think it may be a good idea to mention Molar Mass and Avogadro's Number. To clear up the confusion about Atomic Mass calculations, it might be a good idea to point out that Carbon-12 is the most abundant isotope of carbon, so that is why it is used.

Unfortunately the author hasn't been around since November. If it is Flea Marketed, then if you are interested, you could do a Flea Market Rescue? That's where abandoned articles are copied, edited by another researcher (who has credited the original author) and resubmitted into Peer Review, and hopefully makes it into the Edited Guide. See Writing-FleaMarket for more info.

Hi Mikey, nice to see you around again Would you be interested in taking this on? It would be really very helpful if you could, and we're all around to help.
In the meantime, this will be put into the Flea Market, but I'd really hope that it didn't stay there too long and get forgotten about.

Taking this on sounds like a good idea. It doesn't appear to need a great deal doing to it. I'll hapily rescue it.
