A Conversation for Where Has Robbie Gone?

I don't think you should tell just yet. Maybe another clue? I went down the "Nick" route (Nick Leeson) but of the many, many "Nick" PS's I looked at, Robbie wasn't there.
But I don't think we should give up too easily. It's more fun to have to think about it.

You are on the right lines with Nick Leeson but it is not their names. There are others like him such as Jerome Kerviel and Yasuo Hamanaka. Robbie is hiding in a PS of a user whose h2g2 name is the description of the people named above.
Think about what they did for a living and what they became when they transgressed.

Well, finally! He was with RogueTrader.

I've whisked him away to another PS where he's settled down with a good book to wait out this stage in his adventure.
And your clue is: Is he chasing coyotes or tilting at windmills?

I know where he is but can't think of a place to hide him, so I'll wait to see if somebody else will find him.

OK, I know where he is too but Bel, have you thought of somewhere to hide him? I've had a couple of goes recently.

So he's settled in his new home. Unfortunately I hid him before I really thought about the clue to his whereabouts!
This is really terrible so I apologise in advance.
Depending on how you pronounce his second name, it sounds like he could a) lure cows; b) batter cows; or c) teach elocution lessons to cows.
And to the temporary host for abusing his/her name so terribly!
