A Conversation for Boredom
Are Boredom and Idleness the same?

Maybe it's just because I haven't experienced much of it but I would kind of welcome a bit more idleness as long as there was enough income to pay the bills and I didn't have to watch daytime television. Boredom is something to which most people, including me, are averse. It is a state that we soon want to get out of (or out of which we soon want to get, if we're really bored.)
Idleness, however, is not necessarily such a bad thing. The philosopher, Bertrand Russell, wrote an essay called "In Praise of Idleness", for example. http://www.zpub.com/notes/idle.html
