At least, I believe it does. - probably can't scientifically prove that it does. But it does!

I can boast of holding a M.Sc....... (thesis in molecular biolgy - but it's a few years ago).
And I absolutely hate it when people uses "that is well known" or "everybody knows that..." or even "many people have tried this and it works" as some kind of argument.

I'd like to join. I'm not a scientist (not even a social scientist) but I've always tried to question assumptions, including my own, and keep an open mind.
Empiricism (hope I spelt that right) is the way to go.
