A Conversation for Why Astrology is a Whole Load of Rubbish
Astrology is nonsence

How can any in the 21st century possibly believe in astrology?
how can they believe that the future can be told by the position of the stars?
It would be interesting to know what percentage of predictions come true.
I don't mean general predictions which can be read in the horoscope page of any newspaper, much of which will almost certain come true at some time, and which anyone with no claim what so ever to mystic power could predict i.e. you are going on a journey
Sooner or later nearly every one will.
But personal predictions for which you pay an astrologer
I would be very suppressed if the percentage of accurate predictions are more than about one percent and when they are correct it is nothing what so ever to do with any power which the astrologer, might think they have but pure coinicedence
Astrology like all forms of fortune telling is absolute nonsense with no validity what so ever,it belongs to the past

About the same time that i started the conversation Astrology is nonsense, I started an identical one on The ask the h2g3 community forum with the title How can anyone believe in astrology
What suppressed me from the replies was just how many people believe in it or at least think that their is more to it than just suporstios nonsense which of course it is

please don't feel supressed old chap, we astrologers would be quite sooo nasty.
Astrology however was indeed 'supressed'!(mainly by religous bigots)
