There is only one thing worse than being Gosho, and that is not being Gosho Posted Nov 13, 2002
"Me fail English? That implaudable."
I think that's "unpossible" isn't it?
Ralph is very highly regarded here at Gosho Towers, and I think The Guide needs an entry about him
"I saw Principle Skinner and Mrs. Krobapple in the closet making babies, and I saw one of the babies, and the baby looked at me!!!"
"When I grow up I'm going to Bovine University"
"And, when the doctor said I didn't have worms any more, that was the happiest day of my life."
"I bent my wookie."
"This is my sandbox, I'm not allowed to go in the deep end."
"Hi, Principal Skinner! Hi, Super Nintendo Chalmers!"
“When I grow up, I want to be principal or a caterpillar."
There's an entire Ralph Wiggum website somewhere - along the lines of 'The Tao of Pooh' - but I can't find it now, and I have to leave for work soon. I'll look for it again later.

"My cat's breath smells of tuna."
I was *sure* the quote was '.. of catfood'.
'Are you eating glue, Ralph?'
'Mo Mith Mamamuw'
Could do with a link to the show - A362260 The Simpsons - the TV Series

I think this is a *great* subject for an entry!
Lets have more Wiggumisms!

Whoo-hoo! I agree - great idea for an entry!
Jimster is right about the cat's breath quote. That and many other Wiggumisms can be found here: http://www.snpp.com/guides/ralph.file.html

I wonder if a paragraph on Wigglepuppy would be appropriate?

I think this is a great entry and could be even better with the use of GuideML. Go to the GuideML clinic -> A187229 and it'll give you a few handy pointers
And yes, i think a paragraph/line on the Wigglepuppy would be appropriate (seeing as it is part of Ralph's *cough* wisdom <winkeye)

Hi again,
Just been re-reading the entry, and I wonder about the bit saying that Ralph has some kind of learning difficulty. I think idiot-savant is exactly right (although that phrase is no longer by health / social welfare professionals), but I'm concerned that saying that Ralph has a learning difficulty might make it sound like "The Simpsons" is having a cheap laugh at their expense. I think it might be too "real" a term to use for a cartoon character. Does any of this make any sense? What does everyone think?
BTW, does his mother ever appear, or is Clancy Wiggum a single father?

I know I've seen Clancy Wiggum in bed with his wife at somepoint, does he shoot the TV to turn it off, and his wife scolds him ?
Fun entry, well done !

I like it too!
Might it use a title change, though, to;
'The Wit & Wisdom or the Simpsons' Ralph Wiggum'? or do you think people will know?

Hello
I like the idea behind this entry, but more wiggumisms please
Oh by the way, I have a few points:
1) there definately is a mrs wiggum (a female version of Clancy)
2) how about saying he has "a uniquely simple mind that some might say is bordering on the need to protect him from the world or the world from him" a bit incoherent, but I really think we need to keep away from any referrence as serious as learning difficulty. As this may lead to unfair simplification of this serious issue.
3) how about putting "The Wit & Wisdom of Ralph Wiggum - TV Animation Character" that way you get to keep the title and no one who looks at a search result or a listing gets confused into thinking there is some wise real person called Ralph Wiggum (I know it's not likely at the moment, but we are hopefully here for the long haul)
Just some suggestions. I'm sorry to be so serious on such a happy thread.

You should link to this article A362260, it's cited as one of the ways "how to write for the edited guide".

The son of Springfield's incompetant cheif of police Clancy Wiggum - should be 'incompetent Chief of Police'.
>>reveal a deep and far-reaching understanding of the human condition and psyche.
Can we have some of these revealed in the entry after the quotes? I'd be interested to find out what wisdom this emotionally stunted young boy is imparting.
I agree that it might be clearer if The Simpson's was added to the title so that it's more explanatory. What about something like "The Simpsons - The Wit & Wisdom of Ralph Wiggum"?

Your Guide Entry has just been picked from Peer Review by one of our Scouts, and is now heading off into the Editorial Process, which ends with publication in the Edited Guide. We've therefore moved this Review Conversation out of Peer Review and to the entry itself.
If you'd like to know what happens now, check out the page on 'What Happens after your Entry has been Recommended?' at EditedGuide-Process. We hope this explains everything.
Thanks for contributing to the Edited Guide!

Congratulations!
Do you think the learning difficulties reference could be removed before this goes in? Both PSG and I have worries about the use of that term with reference to Ralph. What does everyone else think?
