Delicia - The world's acutest kitten

Just a few thoughts.
In the case of terminally ill persons I think that any decision regards euthanasia should be made in context with pain management, that is by asking first if everything that can be done to alleviate pain, has been done.
If it has, then the person's wish should be the ground on which all further decision is made.
A good idea would then be to make the decision oneself when still capable, so as not to load it on the shoulders of the nearest relatives.

That IS the best idea. It is important to have it in writing with you. Have a copy with your lawyer, your Dr. and your next of kin.

It is not always clear cut even thensmiley - erm The decision in the end is up to the Dr. in charge at that moment. He is legally responsible to the unseen family. You may have never seen him before!

In case of deciding that one wants to have the plug pulled, one shouldn't have it in writing on ones person, but only with next of kin. I wouldn't trust the doctors, on account of the situation regards organ transfer. I am not a very trusting person anyway. Just a thought.

You are right about organ donation playing a part. You do have to decide in a timely manner.
