I don't think anyone flipantly thinks "What will I do next Thursday, I know, I'll kill myself."
It has to be a very difficult thing to decide and I don't think anyone has the right to impose their views on the worthiness of another's suffering. If there is no help for a cure and only a further loss of dignity and quality of life ahead and a burden on those that they love I feel people should be able to choose. We allow our pets to die with this dignity, why not our loved ones?
I would hope tht were I suffering that much I would be allowed to help myself.
We were given free will by God, why were we given it if we are not allowed to utilise it? Despite whatever karmic consequences there may be, surely it's the individual's right to choose.

Yep
Did you read the religion post ? (mine) It is a great take on the God issue. The Bishop makes perfect sense of what some consider an ethical debate.
