I've ended up nothing like what I thought or wanted or planned or dreamed of as a kid, or as a teenager - in fact, nothing ever turns out as planned for me - but other options always keep popping up, and I'm pretty happy with who and where I am today...

That's the entire point of growing up. If everything had gone your way and you were a multi billion dollar poet, where's the excitement? Especially when the government realizes that a poet can't make billions...

I never expected *everything* to go my way - but it would have been nice if it had happened at least *once* in my life... but nope

I think that the me even as recently as 6 years ago would want to be me. I didn't havea very good childhood, and spent it wanting to be other people - people who were popular mainly. So now that I have friends, get on with my family, love my job and my colleagues I'm pretty much the me that I wanted to be when I was young. Despite not actually having fulfilled any of my childhood dreams.

See, I first thought that i would be a fighter piolot... Then reality struck... now i am in hte army and can't seem to escape....
