I'm new-- Now what?
Researcher 227595 Posted May 12, 2003
I am making my way through that book. But I am concerned. I was waiting for the third Dirk Gently novel for 10 years above any other sequel of anything and I want to know if I will be devastated reading it uncompleted or whether it is worth it? I have not got to that section of the book yet.

I think 'salmon of Doubt' is worth reading for the notes and stuff, but not for the actual unfinished book...

I thought the random notes and rants at the beginning of 'Salmon of Doubt' were well worth reading. I have only just started reading the first Dirk Gently book, so I haven't got a good comparion yet, but I thought the unfinished Dirk novel in 'Salmon of Doubt' was also worth the effort, even if it was a little frustrating. It's gotta be read. No one should ignore it just because it has no ending.

I highly recommended it. Don't listen to what anyone else says.
What's your favourite Terry Pratchett book? I've read a few myself; got quite a few to go though.
