kea when I said it's playing with words I wasn't referring to your post..but the stuff about netiquette/anti social/abuse and arguing the toss which category certain behaviours fitted into.

Coping with tolerated behaviour makes me wonder which way that was meant. Do you mean that abusive or mean behaviour is fine and if people don't like it they can go elsewhere, or do you mean those who seem to over react to what is just a heated debate with a few curses thrown in can leave?

Because if it's the first, that we should allow meanness and abuse I very much disagree.

It was pretty subjective really. I'd more or less lost patience because of all the talk about categories.

Meaness and abuse is no 1 for me for sure. But with the proviso that is calculating meaness and abuse.

From what I've seen in forums since I stopped lurking, it's pretty obvious when someone is being mean. Hopefully it'll only be obvious instances we're seeing.
