What a load of rubbish , the Gills only just lost out to Man city(remember them , you know that old 1st division team) in the playoffs,

No, the entry is correct. Gillingham is a tip and the Preistfield Stadium a small box of rotting vegetables on one side of the tip, occasionally picked over by the local caravan dwelling population.
Never tried a curry there.

A little harsh perhaps in places.
Gillingham is primarily a dump, but then so are most places in my experience. It depends what you like really. If 5 bed houses with 2 acre gardens and a half hour drive to the pub are your thing then no good, but it has an element of character. And it's quite near some nice-ish places (Rochester's always fairly decent, for the castle and the Nags Head if nothing else).
Basically, good for the convenience of it all and the occasional football game. But very bad if you dislike most other things.
You should see Sittingbourne.

I was born in Rochester, my Mother was born in Gillngham and as such I have quite an emotional tie to the whole Medway area. Sadly, it has to be faced that it is a place with a great deal of history but not much in the way of future. Shame, really.
