Let's go on writing these and keep the memory of PedanticBarSteward alive - even if I personally will never manage to reach his high level.

B'El! I've never done one of these before, so it may be a complete washout without meaning.
Perhaps he will be watching us
Even criticizing our ability to match his wisdom
Dare we even try?
Although we may attempt to match his wit
Nothing will compare
Today we are in sorrow
I can’t believe it’s true
Could we not just turn back the clock – I would and so would you!

Playing jigsaws and scrabble o'er on facebook
Each day saw me sign in, those games had me hooked.
During times of great stress we played even more
And we exchanged our thoughts in emails galore.
Now a raven flew by and quoth:'Nevermore'.
The end was abrupt, and my heart is so sore.
I so wish it hadn't ended like this
Cher James, here's to you a last virtual kiss.

Prospecting in the mines, I prized
Engaging glimpses of Benshasha life-
Donkeys, marriage parties, births,
All written with verve and understanding.
Next the poems - wit and ways with words
That fizzed and sparkled on the page.
I'm glad I knew this man I'd only met
Computer sailing through virtual seas.
Key: Complain about this post
