There is only one thing worse than being Gosho, and that is not being Gosho Posted Oct 11, 2002
The moment I saw the subject I had a feeling this was going to be one yours Dr T A very interesting idea for an entry.
Sadly, I don't think the quote at the very beginning is going to get past the Eds A pity.
Personally, I'd prefer to see the notes as individual subheaded paragraphs rather than in an ordered list. You could use the bowler's name for each subheader as none of them appear twice in different notes as far as I can tell. Perhaps dig out a bit of info on someone like Allom just to flesh his paragraph out a bit.
So what's next for the good Doctor's keyboard? Sir Garfield Sobers's six sixes of Malcolm Nash at Swansea on August 31st 1968?

Thanks Gosho - fair enough comments ... the joke at the start is just a little bit of anarchy. Of course it'll get wiped, but at least it might keep PR moving when we go there.
Otherwise, I started off with the intention of doing something on hat-tricks in all sports - but whilst footy seems easy, where to start and stop? So I decided to stop at cricket. Maybe change the title "The First 30 Hat-Tricks in Test Cricket"
I agree that to try and flesh out the notes on more of the hat-tricks may give the entry more oomph.
(also I can't get the tabnle to recognise the ML for the empty box, so I'll need to put something in each box anyway.)
Thanks for the response.

All right - have a look now - see what you think. I've done up to Maurice Allom - otherwise all the numbering is to cock but you get the idea. Better? I think so. Good idea - thanks.
Let me know and I'll finish it off and post it to PR.

Definately better
I believe that to fill an empty box in a table you have to enter something like ' ', but I've never used tables yet in an entry. If you come across an entry with an empty table box, test the page to see how it was done. I know it's explained somewhere on site, and I'd have figured it would be in the GuideML Clinic page for the tag.

Oh - that's a point. I believe is not an approved tag for Edited GuideML (unless they've changed it recently), so you're going to have to find a different format anyway

A810145 has a table in it so it should pass muster.
Will promote to PR when I've completed the notes (a day inshallah).

Disregarding the last post (), my apologies, Trout. It appears that the tag was indeed recently approved for the Edited Guide. I just don't check the updates enough, obviously.

Well it stays at it is until some PR clever-bod picks a hole in it. That's QA anyway.
I only appealed (owzat) to Gosho because he seems the sort who's got a Wisden sitting next to his PC.

Close those brackets! If you have someone born in 1934, you should give their dates as (1934-) with a closing bracket.
