This makes me think that The George needs a review as it seems to be the opening venue for every meet. I dread the thought of having to eat there but such is the price of the volunteer hack.
Anyway, as an avid Post reader, I was a bit sad not to have known about the meet until it was under way. Hopefully next year it will get its own column in advance.

and the link has been on our weekly updated Announcement Page for several weeks now. There'll be another meet, though, we're all sure of that.
The George is a really nice pub, and I never ate their regular food (they don't do it on Friday evenings, afaik), but after last year's experience, I'm not keen on trying it anyway.

You are quite right. I knew something was up - presumably because I had seen it in your editorials. I should have been clever enough to find the meet page.

We're currently planning a meet in Germany. Probably in August. In Hamburg, most likely.
