How much help do you want? I think you've defined frag fairly neatly.
How about expanding the entry to the world of shoot-'em'-ups (a bit of history, a few words about landmark games)? I'm sure there'll be a few Unreal Tournament addicts around here who can help you out 
'Snot my genre, unfortunately - I go for sports and driving games, mostly, although I could probably write you a few words on Goldeneye
