Cafe

So I’m sitting in a leatherette chair
pushing my spoon through a pile of sugar,
making spirals
another coffee gone cold

Thinking about that time when…..
Ah but that’s all a crock of shit now
and the old man in the corner
snots out his morning’s phlegm in
a large white hankie to a
chorus of silent disapproval from
huddled blue suits snatching a
double skinny choca mochatino

and the stereophonic ring tone cacophony
makes a sound track of sorts
to my dime a dozen
hackneyed thoughts of what ifs
and maybes.

I have'nt added anything for ages. Just trying to get the poetic juices flowing again.

Did you mean to post this in Peer Review? I have a feeling it would be better in the Alternative Writing Workshop RF5 rather than Peer Review. PR is for fact-only, the AWW deals with poetry (along with prose and so on).
