Jolly good thing, veganism. It's a very nasty idea really, the consumption of dead animals. It's quite presumptive and a bit arrogant on the part of humans to believe they hold some sort of superior position in the universe. Honestly--have they taken a good long look at themselves lately? Really--you are what you eat. If you take in pain and death, you spit it back out. Best to try to live in peace with the bunnies and all that. Don't want to get preachy, but you wouldn't eat old Uncle Joe now, would you? Well? Animals are no different. (Though perhaps even the worst of them might smell a bit better than Uncle Joe).
