There should be a word for that thing when you post an entry and someone comments on it within the hour, even though you've done nothing to publicise it. That can be quite spooky.
Especially if you've forgotten to subscribe to the entry, and only find out about it later...

Forgetting to subscribe to your own entries isn't necessarily a bad thing. I wrote some silly piece about the TV show 24 when it was only midway through its run over here and someone from the states posted a comment that would have spoiled the ending for me completely - but as I wasn't subscribed I didn't notice it for months (by which time the show had finished over here). Like, phew.
I've always thought of the mutable bit at the end of someone's nickname as the dangler, but this is probably yet another of thse things saying more about me than anything else.
