A Conversation for Time Zone Table
Time Zones?

You have an interesting time zone table. I refer to the entry AMT (AnonyMouse Time). Is that something like the time the Max Headroom stories are set, twenty minutes into the future? Or is it more like Rod Serling's TWILIGHT ZONE? I think there are more people on this site who could be put into special time zones of their own. (For a couple, straight jackets and sedation are in order.)
I sometimes forget other people don't run on my schedule. My youngest son spent a year in Korea (U. S. Army). He ran on a 14 hour time difference. One time, I was online with the e-mail identity my wife and I share. Suddenly there was a instant message saying "Hello, Dad" (It was about 2AM my time). I asked him why he was so certain it was me and not his mother. He commented that I'm the only one around who could possibly be on at that time of the morning. He's right. The body lives in the Central Time Zone of the USA, the mind lives where it wants to.
Nice job on the table. Keep up the good work.

Almost forgot: I set my watch by the clock on the website http://www.time.gov from the U. S. Naval Observatory. If you're not behind a firewall, you can set your watch accurately within a fraction of a second. Check out the site, as they have, among other things, a map of the world with the daylight and darkness areas marked out. It operates in real time and is quite accurate. Also, some interesting time related links.

Thank you!
I only added the AnonyMouse Time because she mentioned she's usually online at very odd hours, and because she had such a nice name for her 'time zone'!
I'll check out the link
