Don't gamble if either you can't afford to lose or you're not allowed to.

There's something not quite right here, but I can't put my finger on it
Perhaps it's that it seems to end rather precipitously with the table of bets. Perhaps it's that rather long and convoluted sentence immediately above the table. Perhaps it needs an example of events to bet on for say, a Lucky 15, and how the bet would pay out if they all came in.
Yes, I think it definately needs something after the table of Combination Bets - that's not really a satisfactory conclusion to the entry.

Righto guv'nor. Give me a few hours!
Do you think an assessment of how the dettori bet would have paid out if, say, only 5 of the 7 had come in might help?

I think the explanation of accumlators is excellent but an explanation of what would have hapened if only 5 out 7 had come in would add to it imensely. Also I may be dim but I didn't really understand the section of combination betting to be honest, (yes I know think) and would like a bit more explanation. Also maybe you should put a little disclaimer at the begining or the end explaing not to do this unless you can afford it.
That sounds really negative doesn't it sorry! It's an excellent article and sorely needed for the negative guide.

No you are absolutely right. It started off, all I wanted to do was list out the betting stuff like
Patent
Trixe
Yankee
Heinz
Super Heinz
Goliath
because they are terms we hear now and again, and don't (most of us) know what they mean.
Then I had to try and explain it all. It's all so much easier when you're in the bookies collecting your winnings!
Your support is appreciated.

Missed this one the first time round...
Just a question of legality...Have you checked with Mr. Yates that you can use his name?

My contribution to this doesn't really justify mention as researcher. Not that I mind, but I can hardly even remember what I might have said.

Just a tiny contribution and what peer review is for. I'd be more comfortable not being a credited as researcher.

Yup. I'd never forgive myself if I took credit as a researcher after asking "does this have anything to do with parlay?"
