A question and a suggestion:

Q: Is the word "Parlay" for accumulator bet current anywhere in the world? It's used as the name for an API (application programmer interface) in Telecom which is why I looked it up and found this definition: "a series of two or more bets so set up in advance that the original stake plus its winnings are risked on the successive wagers; broadly : the fresh risking of an original stake together with its winnings"

S: Since the different versions of the combination follow a fairly straightforward mathematical progression maybe you could reduce the information for each, just mention the number of events and the total of bets involved for each of them from Trixie and up instead of listing out the total detail of singles, doubles and accumulators.

Oh, and mention that the point of gambling is to make money for bookies. smiley - winkeye

NAITA! Thanks for your input.

1. I will definitely investigate "Parlay" and repost. It's not something I've heard of before.

2. I agree with the suggestion about reducing the list. I am proposing to put it into tabular form, distinguishing particularly those bets which cover "all possible combinations", and those which do not apy out on singles.

3. Yes. Probably. My Dad used to tell me that the man who owns the penny arcades smokes a cigar and drives a bentley.
