I'm not quite sure this meets the guide standards. However, I'd like to see how it does in peer review.

it is a good entry, however, before it is ready for the edited guide u need to remove all the first person references.

Yeah, Spook is right.
This is a good entry, there's quite a bit of info I wasn't aware of. For example, I wouldn't usually tip if I got the wrong food - I'd never thought of whether it was the cook's fault or the waiter's fault.
But a) it doesn't seem to have much to do with a specific Pizza Hut, perhaps you could change the title to 'Tips for Eating at Pizza Hut', and b) you need to remove all references to yourself from the article. (Or at least disguise them - say 'the cook' instead of 'I' or 'the staff' instead of 'we'.)
Good luck, this has the potential to make a good entry.

If this entry is going to end up a little more general, it might be worth adding something to the paragraph on tipping.
One thing I always check with the waiter/waitress before deciding whether to leave a tip is whether the (s)he keeps the tips or, as is the case in certain restaurants, the tips are pooled and distributed to all staff. If the waiter keeps the money I leave I judge the size of tip against quality of service, if the tips are pooled I judge the amount I leave on the overall experience. (Or I slip the waiter something discretely on walking out of the restaurant so that they don't have to share it).

Would be nice to see this one being amended as indicated above!

Yes, if I do another one on "Tips for Eating at Pizza Hut in Reading, England", it isn't going to be a whole lot different is it?

Oh dear - that opens up the debate on cultural imperialism masquerading euphemistically as 'globalisation'.

So the Title can be changed to "Tips for Eating at Pizza Hut East Wabash in Terre Haute (or indeed anywhere)", if the researcher takes out all specific references to East Wabash in Terre Haute?

Indeed, a very minor rewrite and it would be begging to be called 'Tips on Tipping'
Or is all this just a ploy to get hits when searching the web for 'East Wabash'?

Hiya,
If it didn't state which particular restaurant we were on about, how would it increase the author's tips?
That heavy PH repetition must constitute h2g2's own version of 'product placement'.
by the way, if i'm ever in that neck of the woods and succumb to the urge for an overpriced cheese and tomato toasty, i'll be sure and tip like crazy!
I don't like the sound of this:
"Tip well, and we will serve well."
that sounds rather like one of those 'look after yer car for yah, mistah!' things.
"So, good evening folks, I hope you enjoyed your meal, my name's Linda, I've serving you this evening, and I would ask you to please bear in mind that tragic accidents can and have been known to befall unfortunate patrons in the car parking facilities, notably those who have been less than generous in their appraisal of the service charge... So, have a nice night, now. Drive safely! Oh, thankyou so much sir... your very kind."

I agree with all of the above! Needs work, but could make it with some changes!
Archaeo, if you go though the comments and pick the bones out, then make the changes, it could make it to the guide. It does rather smack of advertising at present.
Like the comment, Spiff. Reminds me of something one of my friends would say!
