Pub Quiz (Round two results)
Phil Posted Feb 22, 2000
I don't think I'll be getting quite as many right this time as I had to guess some of the answers.
Still I think I did ok for my first round in the quiz.

CRAP!!!
I knew three of them for sure!! I knew the fear and loathing, the clockwork and Tolkein. But I missed the mark 2 pub quiz. So no points for me and on to this super difficult mark 3.
Also, Mt. Denali is the proper name for Mt. McKinley - it has reverted back to its proper Indian name.

Oh my, I'm going to have to pass on this round!
Munch, I'm going to go ahead and put your email address on the bar page. I'm also going to let Peta know that round 3 has begun, and it's a tough one

Too hard for me too!
Frink, I'm not sure I understand the whole email thing. What's the system with the pub quiz?

You can email your answers to Munchkin so you don't give anything away to everyone else.

*damn* I could have won that last round! And instead I have to make my debut with a really tricky one! Ohhhwwwwa!
Pub Quiz (Round Three)
Fenchurch M. Mercury Posted Feb 24, 2000
That's why I continue to attempt.... . Well, that and my constant aquisition of half - points, which I find rather intriguing.

Munchkin Posted Feb 24, 2000
I believe the half point was for Through the Looking Glass. I suppose I ought to give JimiX an extra half, as it turns out he gave the right answer to Mt. Mckinley, just being clever with it. Your making me look bad here.
My current thinking is to have another two rounds (probably Films and General Knowledge) in this particular quiz. Then wait a little while for the winner to bask in their glory before starting another one, so that all these late comers don't feel too left out.
As to round three, the answers received so far look not bad, keep then coming.

Oh and Fenny, question 7 is who not when! It also looks like you'll get half a point again, unless you can be more specific on question 4.

Fenchurch M. Mercury Posted Feb 25, 2000
I put when because I knew when, and how! I don't remember the dude's NAME! I think I can be more specific on four, though, if you're THAT nitpicky...

I like this idea but I'm not that good at general knowledge.
Could we have a music round-as in questions about.

Munchkin Posted Feb 25, 2000
Only if you want them about Weird Al Yankovic or the Wombles I'm not very good on popular beat combos.
Pub Quiz (Round Three)
Phil Posted Feb 25, 2000
but music isn't all popular beat combos...
I'm sure that you could confuse a few people with some well worded questions

Munchkin, Weird Al Questions sound fine!
I would agree with Phil that some more erm.... general questions about popular culture may be in order. I wish I spent more time reading, but I seem to waste so much sitting in front of this screen

But... but... I read all the time, and I'm the second WORST on the list! Maybe I'm just not reading the right stuff... how about some questions on OChem, or surrealist art, or Latin American literature? C'mon! Give me somethin' to work with!

Ouch that lot's hard. What's with all the dates?
And like Fenny - I'm also curious about my half mark
