That's great, PBS. Does 'haram' mean the same as 'treyf'?

Thank you. 'Haram' is the English alliteration of the Arabic for 'forbidden' (under the edict of the Koran).

Aha, that's what I thought. 'Treyf' is the Yiddish equivalent. It means 'forbidden, not kosher'.
