For those who have known, when things go really wrong,
Reliance on anyone will show you who is strong,
If people ignore you, when they see you approach,
Expect nothing from them, but don't give them reproach
Nobody cares about acquaintances when down,
Ditch them and go to another pub in town,
So I was surprised when one Moroccan lady said “This is just haram.”

That's great, PBS. smiley - smiley Does 'haram' mean the same as 'treyf'?

Here's mine. I'm out of rhymes this week:

Facebook ain't where to find them.
Real buddies don't flame.
If they try to put you in a box, run.
Everybody on the list is different.
Never measure your worth by the number of tweets.
Down in the dumps? You'll find out who your friends are.
Sometimes people can surprise you.

Thank you. 'Haram' is the English alliteration of the Arabic for 'forbidden' (under the edict of the Koran).

Aha, that's what I thought. 'Treyf' is the Yiddish equivalent. It means 'forbidden, not kosher'. smiley - smiley
