Living with thoughts is like living with a spoilt child who suffers from Attention Deficit Disorder. However, we do not notice because everyone else manifests the same symptoms. Have you ever tried to stop thinking? Just create a thought; "I am not thinking!" There was a space before you thought it..... and a space of indeterminate duration after you thought it, now wasn't there? Then another thought popped in to fill the void. Try it again. Try and let that space develop. This can give you the perspective to view thoughts as the clouds in an otherwise clear blue sky and the starting point in a process of discovering who you truly are. What could be more important than that?
