Excellent reading on the jellied eels, i was also brought up on them as a kid, in various pie and mash shops around the Elephant and Castle, all doused with lashing of vinegar and the visions of the eyes in the mash

There are many fishmongers that still sell the eels, but not many pie and mash shops left, alas..............

I have been trying to get the method for making the liquor, as i still dream of the tastes even to this day, have you any idea how this is made, i know that certain P n' M shops had their own versions

I've no idea, I rescued this entry from Flea Market, and couldn't find anyone who knew how they were made - even my brother - who had them at his wedding - had them catered and so knew nothing.
