h2g2 has been around for more than a decade, which is pretty impressing in internet terms.<BR/><BR/>Since there is now talk of the BBC handing over/selling the site, I figured it might be a good idea to put down in writing what hootoo is to the users. <BR/><BR/><aside><BR/>I notice that I can't keep to one name. But H2G2, h2g2 and hootoo should all be understood as the same.<BR/></aside><BR/><BR/><BR/>... More to follow. See this entry as a placeholder.<BR/><BR/><towel><BR/><BR/>Preamble<BR/>Background<BR/>The HitchHikers Guide to the Galaxy, Earth Edition has been around since 1998?, and is the brainchild of the late Douglas Adams.<BR/>This document was inspired by the news that BBC will cease to host the H2G2 site, and are looking for new owners. A collection of requirements might be useful, for users, and for future hosts.<BR/>Scope<BR/>The document attempts to describe the requirements for the system as it is, and in some cases add wishes, as collected in discussions on the site.<BR/>
