Hi there!
Pastey has just got a website for h2g2c2 up and running, you can find it here:
www.h2g2c2.co.uk
The idea of this site is to correlate and consolidate all the stuff
that's been going on at the public facing google group, and on h2g2
itself. It's a summary site, a single point of contact that we can
direct people to when they ask "but what do you plan to do?" or "what
have you done?" without having to say to them "read the backlog"
We're planning to add more to the site soon, so keep visiting!

Oh, people could have copied and pasted, but it's a bit easier just to click on it.
I've forgotten it needs the http bit on occasions, too.

Ta, I'll correct that. All typos need to be posted ASAP so I can get it all neat and tidy.

Just writing more copy for the website.
We want this to be a place where people can go to if they've never heard of h2g2c2 and want to find out more about what's happening.
I've done a 'how can you help' section, we've already got 'latest news', and I'd like to have an FAQ that has the detailed information in it.
What else does it need?

The landingpage needs a little work imho.
The qoutes from WikiPedia and h2g2 need to be style as quotes, like indenting it with a quotemark (like " ) in front of it.
The header could be like this:
"The BBC wants to stop hosting h2g2 because bla bla bla
Why is the h2g2 Community Consortium working to save h2g2?
What is h2g2's relevance in a Wikipedia-dominated internet?
It depends on the sort of information you're after.
Take, for example, the topic of alcohol. "
Then try to say in a few lines why we, the community, wants to save it.
The quote at the bottom is fine.
These additions should make it clear to the 'uninitiated' the what and why.
I've send out a bunch of personal emails to draw attention to our plight.
Cheers!
Martin
