A Conversation for Cod Philosophy with Otto Fisch

I've seen this used a lot on TV and radio too. It's used a lot against protestors or demonstrators. For example, in an interview, the speaker might be putting the argument forward about the environment and transport, and the opponent counters (supposedly) by asking how that person got to the demonstration. Whether they drove, got the train, or walked, the fact is that it really has no bearing on the argument. After all, if you're campaigning to change the world, you still have to live in the current one - there are some things you can't avoid.

"The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is a wholly remarkable book. It has been compiled and recompiled many times and under many different editorships. It contains contributions from countless numbers of travellers and researchers."
