h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

This is the first time I've done this so I hope my comments are pertinent.
1/ You state that the EM wave propogates at the "speed of light" as if this is an absolute whereas it depends on the medium through which the wave is propogating. it might help to indicate this.
2/technically energy is proportional to frequency (in the mathematical sense of the word)
hope that is helpful. otherwise I thought it was a nice layman intro to the subject.

trebor could you expand on point 2 please..not complete that statement is it?

The point I was trying to make is that as E=hv, where E means energy, h is a constant and v means frequency, the technical term for this relationship is proportionality not equivalence. This is using the words proportional and equivalent with their mathematical definitions rather than layenglish so maybe i was just being a pedantic mathematical physicist sorry

well am thinking of writing my own entry ( possibly on euclids
parallel postulate) but think i definitately need to get the hang of this place a little more before i give that a go!
