You missed out the audience!! The lot who sit there coughing ALL the way through and start to clap halfway through a movement!

This is a bit unfair on audiences. Most of them don't clap till the end of the first movement, thenwhen they realise it wasn't the end don't clap again until 25 seconds after the end of the last movement.

Amazingly enough, some audience members actually figure out when to clap by watching the conductor. Once he drops his arms, clap away.
Of course, those audience members are usually people who have performed in orchestras themselves.
