A Conversation for Coupling - The TV Series

OK, so I’m one too. (Please stop hitting me) I LOVED the Coupling series (and this is saying a lot as I am a telecommunications major), I have recently watched commercials for the NBC version, which ticks me off to no end. (not only are they steeling the show but they can’t even write their own episodes) Everything I have seen supports that NBC is just re-shooting the original scripts, like Americans could not accept the original versions. My prediction is that it will tank in America because they can not get away with as much as BBC did and the title Coupling (which they are keeping) is totally lost on most Americans. And now I find out that BBC can’t make new episodes. AHHHHHHH!!!! So once again a show I find brilliant and funny gets kicked in the crotch.

I totally agree with the previous posting. There hasn't been a better television show around for years! The British really know television! I loved "This life" too, also with Jack Davenport, but that was of course a completely different kind of show. Sadly, it was also cancelled.
So, now the Americans are going to try to do a re-make of Coupling. We all know what that means, same script but without the outstanding actors and without the typical British wit. It has happened so many times before with the same result: Cracker and High Fidelity (the movie based on the magnificent novel) are just two examples of American disasters.
Now, we will probably never find out what happens with Patrick and Sally! Bullocks!
