There are a few entries on this subject, but by the looks of it, none of them have got into the Edited Guide.

See what you think...

Well that was quick. I was going to say that I don't get belly button fluff cos mine is pierced, but I see you've covered that. smiley - biggrin Mine isn't normally exposed though, so it might be the fact that there is no room for fluff.

I remember hearing once that the belly button is the thinnest part of your skin. Worth mentioning if true?

By the way, if there are lots of entries, have you combined them?

I do believe that the thinnest part of your skin is your eyelid. And as far as this entry goes...I ALWAYS wondered why belly button lint and dryer lint were blue! I never thought about them being connected either...Good job!

I've not combined the other entries specifically, largely because the best of the bunch is a fictional explanation for the blueness (not Edited Guide material, but still a very good read though) while the rest seem to be along the same lines but more speculative, short or just fun.

This entry actually came to me while I was sitting on a bus travelling from London Bridge to work trying to get through the Rail Strike madness. Not as good as a 'cafe in Rickmansworth', but it did the job smiley - smiley

One thing that I meant to say and forgot was that by having pants in quotes, I thought you meant pants as in rubbish, rather than 'underpants'. smiley - laugh

No, it's just that 'pants' can mean either underwear or trousers, so I used '' around it just in case it's a colloquialism for certain readers.

'Pants'

Your Guide Entry has just been picked from Peer Review by one of our Scouts, and is now heading off into the Editorial Process, which ends with publication in the Edited Guide. We've therefore moved this Review Conversation out of Peer Review and to the entry itself.

If you'd like to know what happens now, check out the page on 'What Happens after your Entry has been Recommended?' at EditedGuide-Process. We hope this explains everything.

Thanks for contributing to the Edited Guide!
