People should put spoiler notification up if there will follow a wodge of text detailing the fascinating jobs some people have got. I'm doing my current degree because it was interesting in school, not because I knew there were no interesting jobs at the end of it. Most of my mates are doing CS and will walk out into highly-paid things in the job area of the future. I meanwhile, might get to assay little bits of nerve tissue if I'm lucky. Isn't life grand?
