Don't bang your head against walls! This is an awesome entry! I have a couple suggestions, though:
Could you attribute your sources - and if they're websites, could you link to them?
Could you change all your s to s?

Thanks!
The are done.
I got a lot of my info from the 'history' section of bartsandthelondon.org.uk and I visited the hospital museum in my lunch hour (I work there). When you say 'attribute your sources' do you mean referencing? Being a scientist by trade it's not a foreign concept to me .
Right...I need to think about how to do this. Does H2G2 use the harvard system?

Hope you don't mind me commenting. I like the London entries.
Some 'house style' comments:
‘A sinful and worldly wit, who led the creeping life of a courtier, indulging in carnal delights and pouring pleasantries into princes' ears’
h2g2 house style suggests either quotes or italics, you don't need both - this goes for all quotes, not just the one I highlighted.
fourteenth and fifteenth centuries - h2g2 house style - 14th and 15th.
House style - headers and subheaders are capitalised on important words and those over three letters
"Non-stop partying takes its’ toll on us all", I don't think you need the ' on its in that context, but I'm not sure.
A suggested link - A784046 Malaria
No comments at all on the contents.
This is great! I can't see any reason why it can't go into Peer Review straight away.
Will there be a follow up? I'll look forward to seeing it!

Hi there!
There are quite a number of places in which you have sentences in your entry that are virtually the same as what is in the bartsandthelondon.org.uk website.
For example:
website -- It was using a distinctive seal from about 1200, and by 1300 had its own Master. By 1420 the two institutions had become entirely separate.
entry -- It was using a distinctive seal from about 1200 onwards, and by 1300 had its’ own Master. By 1420 the two institutions were totally separate.
We really need entries here on h2g2 to be written in your own words. In part this is because of the intellectual property policies followed by h2g2, and in part because the Edited Guide is really about original writing. Just changing a word or two here and there from someone else's text really isn't enough to satisfy either of these requirements.
Is this something you think you'd be able to address soon?
Mikey

Hmm. Fair enough. I'll remove this till I have more time to work on it.

Just realised I stomped off in a huff and hadn't replied to Naim.
Thanks for the heads up re: the house style. I'll do those when I do the tweaks to the entry that Mikey suggested. When I get the time, which won't be until at least this time next week
I'm planning the follow-up to this one, which will cover a lot of how the hospital got to look the way it does today.

Sorry Strangelittlegirl, I should have been more clear.
Let me explain. You say:
<>
Firstly, you should insert the word 'as' before the quote, so that it reads 'he was described as...' Secondly, what I meant by 'attribute your sources' is that I want to know *who* described Rahere as a 'sinful and worldly wit'. For all I know, you could be making it up! (But I know you wouldn't do that.)
