Horizin - Mathematics

Hi Jim,

I know I'm posting in response to an entry you made quite a long time ago now - I've only just stumbled across h2g2! I hope this finds you well, and you've made good progress with your archiving project.

I was fascinated to see the list of TV programmes you have, and in particular that you have a copy of the Horizon programme about Mathematics. Was this the one that would have been shown in the early to mid 1980s, when I was studying maths at school, and which really fired up my interest in the subject? If so, I'd really love to have the chance to see it again, and I just wondered whether you can suggest any way this might be possible please? I know you've had a lot of posts making similar requests, and I fully understand the problems which apply to making copies of items in your collection, but if you know of a way in which it might be possible for me to get a copy of this I'd really appreciate it.

I'm also very keen to see again any recordings of live coverage of the first Space Shuttle launch in 1981, or any of the Apollo launches - I don't suppose you have any of these by any chance?

My email address is [email protected], and I'd be very gratfeul for any help or advice you could give me.

Kind regards,

Steve
